# About Tutu School Brookhaven

> Tutu School Brookhaven offers boutique ballet education with thoughtfully trained teachers, emphasizing creativity and joy.

Tutu School's founding principle is that every child should know what it feels like to dance. The school believes that motor skill development is enhanced by classical music, young imaginations benefit from exploring enchanted worlds, and twirling is a fundamental part of childhood. Tutu School focuses on providing a magical introduction to ballet for very young students, with every aspect of the experience tailored to the needs of tiny dancers.

The carefully crafted curriculum was designed by dance professionals and developmental specialists to introduce ballet technique at the appropriate time for young bodies and imaginations. Tutu teachers receive training in the curriculum and in supporting young dancers of all ages, developmental stages, and experience levels. The school aims to introduce ballet in a way that nurtures creativity and a love of music and movement, cultivating an appreciation of the arts and providing a solid technical foundation for future study, while also offering a formative early enrichment experience.

Ashley, the owner of Tutu School Brookhaven, began dancing at age three. After serving twelve years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, she returned to her passion for dance. She lives in Alpharetta with her husband and two children. Ashley was drawn to Tutu School's mission of creating joy through dance in a whimsical and stress-free environment. She is dedicated to maintaining a high-caliber faculty and fostering a safe space for children to develop creativity, understanding the responsibility of introducing ballet to young dancers.
